  1. Matthew Modine (Atticus Finch) walks to the right of the stage

  2. Anna Munden (Scott Finch) and Jack Crumlin (Dill Harris) to the left of the stage
• Shift in the entire atmosphere


  • Suggesting that Hughes' character is not a good one
• Matthew Modine (Atticus Finch) tells the kids, Anna Munden (Scott Finch) and Jack Crumlin (Dill Harris), to go inside the house


  1. In a fast paced, trembling voice

  2. Staring Jason Hughes (Bob Ewell) down to ensure he doesn't leave his sight

  3. To make sure the kids are safe inside the house before Hughes' character takes action
• Anna Munden (Scott Finch) and Jack Crumlin (Dill Harris) walk onto the platform hurriedly


  Go through the screen door, entering the inside of the Finch house
• Matthew Modine (Atticus Finch) follows
