Just after the predictions have been made, Ross and Angus arrive to tell Macbeth he has been made Thane of Cawdor.
Macbeth and Banquo react differently.
Banquo is able to recognise evil.
However, Macbeth is made ambitious by this news and is encouraged to put further trust into the witches.
