  • God is merciful, he understands their suffering, cares for them, and forgives them.
  • Jibril is the angel that revealed the Qur'an to Muhammad. This is significant as the Qur'an is the direct word of God, and has ultimate authority.

  • Adam was the first man on Earth, and so is seen as the father of mankind, and should be treated with reverence and respect
  • God gave Adam the understanding and knowledge to pass down the human race, like how to plant seeds, and to avoid evil and do good.
  • Adams creation led to Iblis' demise as he refused to bow to Adam in heaven, he was thrown out and vowed to tempt humans to sin against God
  • Prophet Ibrahim is seen as a role model to Islam as he completed all the tests and commands given to him by God, showing we must be obedient to god like he was.
  • Ibrahim refused to worship idols, he destroyed statues that were worshiped in a town in Arabia, he was sentenced to be burned, but the fire only burned his chains and he walked out unscathed
  • Ibrahim agreed to sacrifice his son in the name of God, which teaches us that we should be obedient to God, and that he would never want to harm us
  • Ibrahim is remembered during Hajj, when we throw stones at Mina, we are copying what he did. Ibrahim also rebuilt the Ka'aba, displaying his importance to the religion
  • Muhammad is the last and greatest prophet of God. He had the qur'an revealed to him by Jibril, and preached against idolatry, gambling, alcohol, drugs and more. He freed the Ka'aba from idol worship, taught us to pray five times a day, and made the hadith.

  • The belief in the Imamate means believing that the Imams are the successors of the Prophet Muhammad, beginning with Ali. Each Imam is appointed by divine instruction.

  • The Imams are vital as they are believed to maintain and interpret Qur'an and shariah law without fault. Therefore, there word is completely true and should be followed.
  • The imamate is important as mankind needs divine guidance on how to live.
  • The Qur'an was revealed to Muhammad by Jibril over a period of 22 years. It is believed to be an infallible source of authority for all holy matters.
