• metaphase- two sets of chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell
• anaphase- chromosomes are pulled to opposite sides of the cell
• teleophase- chromosomes uncoil, organelles duplicate, new membranes are formed around two sets of chromosomes making two nuclei
