• Painkillers, e.g. aspirin, relieve pain but dont actually kill pathogens
• Aspirin is used as a pain killer and to lower fever, it is found in willow bark
• Digitalis is used to treat heart conditions, it is found in foxgloves
• Penicillin came from mould and was discovered by Alaxander Fleming.
