  • Islam - the second largest world religion next to Christianity..
  • Islam had around 2 billion adherents called the ummah.
  • The world Islam translates to "peace" and "submission to one god."

  • Islam began in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 610 AD, when Prophet Muhammad was visited by the angel Jibril.

  • Hajj - means "pilgrimage," involves visiting Mecca at least once in their lifetime when physically and financially able
