• Value of Renewal- strengthen the physical, spiritual and moral aspects
• We need to be vigilant in capturing many opportunities given us for renewal
• Physical- proper rest, healthy diet
• Moral- self- discipline, clear conscience
• Spiritual- constant prayer, and meditation
• Sacrament of Baptism- door that opens for us the other sacraments
• Water that washes away our original sin, " true meaning is new life in Christ"
• It is not an entry to the church building but an incorporation of Christian Community
• Greek- Baptizen which means plunge or immerse into the water
• Every person not yet baptize may receive it, both adults and infants
• Christian parents and grandparents have the great responsibility of nurturing the faith of their children
• We can only be baptized once because of the " Baptismal seal"
• "Baptismal Seal" - It is a sign of God's ownership on us
• Bishops, priests, and deacons can administer the baptism
• In emergency cases, any person can baptize as long he has the intention of the church and applies the trinitarian formula.
• We believe that the Blessed Trinity sanctifies his people
• We believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in us and helps us to live life of grace
• We must strive not to commit sin but embrace a life of virtues since we share in the dying and rising of Jesus Christ.
• The grace of sin empowers us to a conversion of heart and commitment into the church
• Fortitude- capacity to be constant in doing good even at the cost of great sacrifices
• Make decisions and choose to do what is right and proper by ourselves
• Strong and wise in saying no to the deceptions of worldly values
• Jesus instituted the sacrament of Confirmation- when he breathed and sent the apostles out as his witnesses (Mission, 1st Cathechism)
• The Sacrament of Confirmation is conferred by anointing with the holy chrism on the forehead by the bishop/ priest.
• Anointing- Healing, purifying, strengthening and most of all empowering
• Jesus- " Anointed one" by perfectly fulfilling God's mission through the power of the Holy Spirit
• Only catholic Christians can receive the sacrament of confirmation
• Careful preparations is also needed for the candidates, parents and god parents
• We believe that the Holy spirit dwells in his people

• He established the Eucharist at the Last supper, the night before he died on the cross
• Eucharist is celebrated with Christ by the Christian community, the church
• Christian community that celebrated the Eucharist, Christ is n its midst.
• The Eucharist is both a sacrifice and a sacred meal
• Sacrifice- Paschal Mystery
• Sacred Meal- offers his body and blood as food and drink for our transformations and salvation
• Christ is present in the Eucharist Celebration especially under the signs of bread and wine
• The Eucharist is a foretaste of our external communion with the Holy Trinity
• Only a validly ordained priest can preside at the Eucharist and consecrate the bread and the wine
