  .If its not a acid or a alkali then it is neutral

  .E.G. water (7pH)neutral
• Acid:

  .All acids contain hydrogen

  .Examples of acids are: nitric acid; sulfuric acid

  .Strong acids are croosive

  .1pH to 6pH is acid

  .Strong acid is 1pH

  .Weak acid is 6pH

  .In our stomach we have hydrochloric acid to kill bacteria in the food which is in our stomach
• Alkalis:

  .All alkalis contain hydroxide (oxygen hydrogen)

  .E.G. sodium hydroxide

  .8pH to 14pH

  .Weak alkalis is 8pH

  .Strong alkalis is 14pH
