Explain how vaccination can prevent the body from getting infected? [6 marks]
inject a weakened / dead/ inactive form of the pathogen into the body
as the pathogen is inactive / dead, it cannot lead to the disease in the patient
white blood cells are stimulated to produce the complementary antibodies to the antigen
during the primary infection the complementary antibodies are increased slowly and peaks at around day 10 then slowly decreases
during the second exposure, the relevant antibodies are produced rapidly and correctly to prevent infection
