Why don’t other Christians believe in purgatory?

• Very little suport in the Bible for purgatory
• References that are in the scriptures are unclear
• Jesus‘ death in the cross atoned for sins - humans are unable to
• Parables such as ‘the Rich Man and Lazarus‘ + ‘the Sheep and the Goats’ makes it clear that this life is important - once we’re dead it’s too late
• Jesus referred to heaven + hell not purgatory
