  • The Equinox is the period of the year when the Sun is perpendicular to both of the hemispheres. This causes the days, and nights to be exactly 12 hours.
  • The Solstice is the period of the year when the Sun is closer or farther from the North or South pole. This causes days, and nights to be longer depending on the country or region.
  • There are 4 seasons on Earth, first we have Spring which lasts from May to March. Then, we have Summer which lasts from June to August. Then, we have Autumn which lasts from September to November. Finally, we have Winter which lasts from December to February. The durations of each season may differ depending on the hemisphere, and the region. In the tropics, there are only 2 seasons, the wet and dry season.
  • Spring is the season after Winter, and before Summer. During Spring, it starts to get warmer, which is why plants, and vegetations start to grow again. Spring lasts from March to May in the Northern hemisphere, and in the Southern hemisphere lasts from September to November.
  • Summer is the hottest season of the year. in the Nothern Hemisphere, Summer lasts from June to August, meanwhile in the Southern Hemisphere, it lasts from December to February.
  • Autumn is the season that comes between Summer and Winter. During Autumn, the time of day starts to gradually decrease, and the temperature starts to drop as well. In the Nothern hemisphere, Autumn will begin at September, meanwhile in the Southern hemisphere, it will begin at May.
