Tawhid - 'oneness' in reference to God. The basic Muslim belief in the oneness of Allah
Shahadah - Declaration of faith. stating that ' there is no god but Allah, prophet Muhammad is the prophet of Allah.
Shirk - Association; regarding anything as being equal or partner to Allah.
Qur'an - The divine book for Muslims which was revelled to Prophet Muhammad. it is seen as Allah finalrevelation to humankind
Hadith - The saying of prophet Muhammad, as recounted by his houses hold, descendants and companions. these are a major source of Islamic law.
Salat - Islamic prayer. involves communication and worship with Allah preformed under specific conditions in the manner taught by Prophet Muhammad and recited in Arabic five time a day.
Adhan - The call to prayer, usually performed by the muezzin
Du'ah - varying form of personal prayer.
Zakat - Payment of annual charity and obligatory act of worship. This parities wealth
Saddaqah - Voluntary payments or good actions for purposes
Sawm - Fasting from just before dawn until sunset. Abstinence is required from all food and drink as well as mocking and sexual relations
Halal - Ant actions or things is permitted of lawful, often used in reference to food that is permitted.
