• Long term :

  • Aim to end world poverty through education + promoting Fair Trade products
• Short term :

  • Help people affected by natural disasters , providing essentials e.g. Shelter , clean food and water
• CAFOD tried to bring social justice through campaigns e.g. Trade Justice - campaign promoting human rights in worlds poorest communities
• Believes in dignity in all human beings

  • it was part of ‘Make Poverty History’ which united 31 million people globally for actions to be made against poverty
  • as a result world leaders increased aid spent and some of the debt owed to the World Bank by the poorest countries in the world was cancelled
