Interfaith dialogue

• Interfaith dialogue - different faith communities working together with a mutual respect + peace attitude
• The multi-faith society- in Wales + the UK means that we need to understand differences + respect others faith
• Inter-faith council for Wales:

  • an independent meeting place for community representatives to share faith issues together

  • to advance public knowledge + understanding of faith communities in Wales
  • to promote good relations between faith groups
  • to promote awareness of the similarities And differences between faiths

  • it believes that faith communities have much to contribute to positive community life
• Christian - Muslim Forum:

  • it’s the leading notional forum for engagement between Christian’s and Muslims

  • aims to help Christians and Muslims live and work together creatively and harmoniously

  • launched in 2008

  • members want to be faithful to their religion but still grow their understanding of other religions -they believe this will benefit their community + society

  • established in 1942

  • the forum organises meetings between Christians + Jews
  • provides
  • opportunities for change with in the community
  • celebrates the history + diversity of both communities
