Stat Test

    Cards (12)

    • Continuous data is taking measurements of Dependent Variable
    • Association between 2 variables uses correlation co-efficient
    • Difference between 2 means uses student T-test
    • Frequencies are used for individuals in categories
    • Difference in individual categories uses Chi Squared
    • Null hypothesis is when there is no significant difference between the expected and the observed frequency of Y
    • Chi Squared
      (OE)2/E(O-E)^2/E
    • Stat tests are tested at 0.05
    • Degrees of Freedom = Categories - 1
    • If the Chi Squared critical value is more than or equal to the calculated value then accept null hypothesis
    • If the Spearmans Rank critical value is equal to or more than calculated value, accept the null
    • If the Student T-test critical value is equal to or higher than the calculated value, accept the null
