Conscience

• • Using your conscience to understand natural law as Catholics would call it
• • Catholics believe the conscience has two parts:
  • Knowledge part: our minds ability to know the difference between right and wrong
  • Action part: internal impulse to do what is right and avoid doing what is wrong. (part that gives moral duty)
• • Obey conscience more = less moral evil, less suffering
• • Catholics believe the conscience is unique to humans (further proof God created humans imago dei)
