    Anglos complained about the centralist government and the Law of April 6, 1830, because of this colonists declared loyalty to Santa Anna and the Mexican constitution of 1824. They got Santa Anna to cancel the Law of April 6, 1830.
  • What happened to Austin in 1834?

    Austin was arrested for treason. This was because he assumed Santa Anna would've let Texas be its independent state. He finds out later that this assumption is wrong, but it is too late because his letter was already sent. His letter was intercepted by Mexican officials. He was never granted due process.
