• light from the sun - contains a mixture of wavelengths and appear white in the human eye.
• Placing a prism in sunlight - will separate the individual wavelengths, which we see as individual colors.
• Light shining through water droplets - is affected the same way, producing the rainbows we enjoy seeing after a rainstorm
