Probability Sampling

• every element of a population is given an equal chance of being selected as a member of the sample
• Systematic Sampling - Every member of the population is listed with a number, but instead of randomly generating numbers, individuals are chosen at regular intervals.
• Stratified Random Sampling - population is divided into subgroups or strata based on certain characteristics
• Random Sampling - may done by lottery, etc.
