  • Art is not only for a few. It is for all.
  • Students need to understand that there is an artist in every one of us.
  • Different individuals, different artists. Each artist has his or her personal choice of art materials, as well as his or her own style and technique in creating art.
  • Students should be conscientious and meticulous in choosing the art materials and in applying artistic techniques.
  • As a facilitator, you are expected to orient the learners on how to use this module, keep track of the learners' progress while allowing them to manage their own learning, and encourage and assist the learners as they do the tasks included in the module.

    The means, process or methods of using art materials in a manner that the artist wants to use in order to create an artwork
  • Being choosy with and discriminating in the choice of art materials should not be regarded as an overzealous act of meticulousness on the part of the artist. This is proof of the artist's dedication and sincerity in creating art.
  • The usefulness of these art materials is dependent on certain factors. Each art material has to be examined in certain ways.
  • It is expected that the artist is skilled and highly knowledgeable of the art technique.
  • An artist takes into personal consideration what goes into his or her artwork. The artist does not take into account the kind and quality of art materials.

    The manner by which the artist is going to apply in creating an artwork should be suited to the kind of art materials that will be used as well as suited to the kind of art technique

    It is expected that the artist is skilled and highly knowledgeable of the art technique
  • Practicality
    Art technique should be functional and sensible for the objectives or purpose set by the artist for the creation of the artwork
  • Critiquing is taking note of the process of creation, paying attention to the kind art materials and the way they were used, considering the art technique that was applied.
