• Type 1 diabetes:

  • life long happens mostly in childhood or teenage years
  • pancreas stops producing insulin or small amounts
  • this cause there glucose concentratio levels to be too high which can cause illness or death
• treatment for type 1 diabetes

  • sugary foods
  • more insulin
  • more exercise less insulin because muscle cells absorb more glucose from the blood when we work out
• Type 2 diabetes

  • Happens to older people , too much sugar unhealthy diet
  • cells become resistant to insulin
  • insulin treatment wouldn’t work because cells are resistant to glucose
  • the cells won’t take in glucose from the blood stream
  • main treatments for type 2 is low sugar diet and to exercise regularly
