Persecution of Christians in the modern world (Matthew 10:22):
always been a thing, there’s been many martyrs
Jesus was a martyr (he warned his followers they would be persecuted)
Christian believe they have a divine command to spread the good news of Jesus, even if that endangers them
Organisations (e.g. Christian Freedom International and Open Doors) help persecuted Christians by providing Bibles, emergency support, + campaign for human rights
Where Christianity is a minority religion:
Often treated unjustly
Terrorist organisations target Christians (forcing them out of their homes + attacking them)
