    2. Add 2 cm3 of Buriet solution
    3. Solution turns pink or purple if proteins present
  • Sudan III test for lipids
    1. Take 5 cm3 of food sample
    2. Add 3 drops of Sudan III stain
    3. Red oil stained layer forms at top if lipids present
