  • Deception
    Misleading participants. Active deception is deliberately misleading PP. Passive deception is withholding information from PP.
  • Informed consent

    give detailed information about the study so they can give full consent to take part.
  • Right to withdraw 

    make sure PP know that they can withdraw themselves or their data at any time of the study and after the study has been completed.
  • Protection from psychological and physical harm 

    shouldn't be no more than everyday life.
  • Confidentiality
    legal requirement that all information collected from study is kept confidential.
  • Privacy
    psychologists should respect the privacy of PP. Only conduct research in public spaces.
