    A color change from brown-orange to blue-black present of starch
  • Testing for proteins biuret test 

    A change to purple indicates protein. If no protein the so remains blue.
  • Testing for lipids Sudan 111 test 

    Gently shake tube lipid presence will show as a separate bright red layer.
