  • Closed questionnaire 

    involve a simple yes or no answer
    produces quantitative data
    +data is easily analysed and data can be easily counted.
    -may lack realism due to forced choice of answers and may not reflect real life answer that they would have given.
  • Open questionnaire 

    gave more detail to the answers and express opinions.
    Qualitative data is produced
    +produces qualitative data which produces more information for the researcher so higher validity and accurate data.
    -answers can be more difficult to analyse and have a subjective way of analysing.
  • Likert scale 

    type of closed question but offer more options for PP to choose from when agreeing or disagreeing with statement.
    +quantatitive data is easier to analyse and gives more options for PP.
    -lacks realism as PP can only choose from what is given in questionnaire.
