VerbalCommunication- a type of communication where we use of language to get our message and information across to the other person
Communication is the sending and receiving of information and can be one-on-one or between groups of people, and can be face-to-face or through communication devices
Non-VerbalCommunication- transfer of information from one person to another by the use of body language
Interpersonalcommunication- the process of exchange of information, ideas and feelings between two or more people through verbal or non-verbal methods.
Effective interpersonal communication requires all parties to assume both roles, sending and receiving the message at the appropriate time.
Fiction is any creative work, chiefly any narrative work, portraying individuals, events, or places that are imaginary or in ways that are imaginary.
Non-fiction - conveys information about the realworld, not imagination.

Gustatory imagery engages the sense of taste. this is what you can taste and includes flavors.
Tactile imagery engages the sense of touch. This is what you cal feel and includes textures.
auditory imagery engages the sense of hearing. the listener is able to visualize the sounds in their mind
olfactory imagery engages the sense of smell. Scent is one of the most direct triggers or memory and emotion, but it can be difficult to write about it
Kinesthetic imagery engages the feeling of movement. This deals with more than just the visual aspect of the movement.

Personification- giving human qualities to non-human things or objects.
Apostrophe- a figure of speech in which a speaker addresses someone or something that is not present.
Oxymoron- when two words are used together in a sentence but seem to be in contrast with each other.
Hyperbole- an exaggerated statement that is not meant to be taken literally.
Alliteration: the occurrence of the same letter or sound at the beginning of adjacent or closely connected words
Onomatopoeia- the word is used to describe a sound.
Anaphora- the figure of speech when a word or phrase is repeated at the beginning of successive clauses
Euphemism- when replacing an offensive or harsh terms with soft words
Irony- A figure of speech in which the opposite of what is said is true.
