FEMINIST LITERARY THEORY

• Feminist Theory - shifts its assumptions, analytic lens, and topical focus away from the male viewpoint and experience toward of women
• Women Empowerment - is already promoted in the West, but there are still concerns in areas where issues about access to education, employment opportunities, and child marriages still abound
• Feminist Literature - is fiction, non-fiction, drama or poetry which supports the feminist goals of defining, establishing and defending equal civil, and rights for women
• gender stereotype - generalized view or preconception/misconception about attributes or characteristics, or the roles that are or ought to be possessed by a certain gender.
• patriarchy - is the term used to describe a system ruled by men, matriarchy for women.
• Gender - is a social construct while sex is a biological construct.
