SC is too powerful

• Judicial reviews give too much influence over the public policy and the democratic processes- SC contributed in the delay of brexit despite its approval by the public in the 2016 referendum
• creation of SC makes conflict more likely leading to more active and independent courts - disputes over immigration
• HRA allows the UK SC to interpret ECHR and issue incompatibility statements which hinders the ability of governments to fight terrorism and immigration
