The Messiah

• Jews believe that the Messiah will come to earth to bring a time of perfect pace and prosperity
• According to the Torah, the Messiah will be: a male descendant of King David, a human being and a perfect teacher of God's law. He will be able to unite humanity and bring peace to the world.
• Some Jews believe that God has already decided when the Messiah will appear on earth but don't know the exact date
• Some reform Jews reject the idea of a Messiah as a person but they believe that everyone people have the power to bring about a peaceful and prosperous age by carrying out good deeds
