    The systematic study of thoughts, feelings and behaviours
  • Thought
    • The act of thinking
    • A voice talking to you inside your head
    • Our ideas, opinions and beliefs about ourselves and the world around us
    • Thoughts are not reality. Just because we're thinking them does not mean that they are true
  • Feeling
    • An emotional state or reaction
    • A reflection of your thoughts, experiences, and perceptions, which is why two people can have the same experience, but feel differently
    • Examples: happiness, sadness, fear, anger, surprise
  • Behaviour
    • The activity of an organism interacting with its environment
    • The range of actions and mannerisms displayed by an organism in response to a particular situation or stimulus
  • Subjective
    More opinionated, a personal statement relevant to you
  • Objective
    Mostly fact and not personalised
  • You cannot change your feelings just like that

    But you can influence your emotions using external sources
  • Physical activity
    • Can help relieve stress by breaking down cortisol (the stress hormone)
