1928-32 five year plan
hydro-electricity, farming, coal, iron and steel
1933-37 five year plan
same as the first and manufacturing
1938-42 five year plan
sam as other plans and consumer goods but shifted to rearmament early on and interrupted by nazi invasion
4th five year plan 1945-50 and 5th 1951-55 were launched after WW2 to rebuild industry and agriculture
4th five year plan
linked to a rapid recovery of the economy and pre- war production levels were reached within 3 years but the russian people were placed under extreme pressure
5th five year plan
was a period of fairly rapid growth especially agricultural equipment but too many resources were devoted to projects that had little positive economic benefits
6th five year plan
shifted to modern industry such as plastics and synthetics, consumer goods became more widespread but over-optimistic targets were set resulting in the plan being abandoned after 2 years

more realistic targets were set and there was a substantial increase overall in production but there were signs that the rate of growth in production had slowed down
