  • Social learning theory
suggests behaviour is learned by observation and modelling the behaviour of others.
  • We are more likely to imitate the behaviour:

    of a role model
someone we identify with e.g. gender
if we see someone getting rewarded (vicarious reinforcement- learning via indirect consequences).
  • Imitation= copying role models behaviours
Role model=person that is being observed is someone you can identify with
Observation= actively paying attention to a behaviour and really concentrating on what they are doing.
Identification= influenced by individual who has an attitude or behaviour as wan to be associated with them.
