The heart is made up of cardiac muscle. The function of the heart is to pump blood around the body to supply the cells with oxygen for respiration. It does this by contracting the muscle.
The heart is made up of four chanbers.
The Upper two chambers are called the atria, atrium (plural)
The Lower two chambers are called the ventricle, ventriculum (plural)
