Erosion processes

• Hydraulic action - the force of the water hitting the river bed and banks causing rocks to break when the water gets into them
• Abrasion- When rocks carried by the river repeatedly hits the bed or banks of the river.
• Attrition - Rocks hit each other and keep getting smaller and smaller. This can also make them smoother
• Solution - when all the rock has dissolved into the water
