Solubility

Cards (4)

  • solubility
Is the measure of the mass of solute that dissolved in 100g of solvent at a particular temp. As the temp increases the solubility of the solid increases. We can plot solubility curves to determine the mass needed to make saturated solution in 100g water.
  • Saturated solution
Is a solution that contains the maximum amount of solute that can be dissolved at a particular temp.
  • Exothermic
When energy is lost to the surroundings
  • Endothermic
when energy is taken in from the surroundings
