Stumbling and clumsiness
Involuntary jerking or fidgety movements of the limbs and body
problems swallowing (they may choke on food and get lung infections from food going down the wrong way)
difficulty moving around- they may eventually lose the ability to walk or sit by themselves
lose of balance and co ordination
Difficulty with moving and mobility which may affect socialising as you may become housebound- limiting socialising opportunites
As the disease progresses you will be limited in their involvement in sports due to the involuntary jerking, lack of mobility and loss of balance and coordination
absence from work due to inability to plan and organise and also decline in mobility
Social bond with those helping them during the disease
Support groups from others with HD
Difficulty concentrating and memory lapses
Depression- including low mood, a lack of interest in things, and feelings of hopelessness
Anxiety due to reduced life expectancy
Time of work may be needed which can lead to loneliness
A positive attitude may be developed and they may start to do things in their live for fulfilment
