    From 1945-70 it was expected that conservatives received votes from the upper class whilst labour took the working class vote. E.g. Harold Wilson got 64% of DE voters whilst Douglas-Home won 78% of AB voters.

    In 1970, Heath won over Wilson and started the beginnings of class dealignment
  • 2019 Results

    AB votes were 42% for Tory and 32% for labour. DE votes were 47% for Tory and 34% for labour
