Evander and Aeneas

• Aeneas has no qualities about approaching the Greek Evander
• their friendship is much stronger than past wars
• the bond is particularly strong because it spans the generations and was sealed with gifts
• Anchises gave Evander a quiver, a cloak and a pair of bridles, things he has now passed on to his son, Pallas
