    • HIV is transmitted through bodily fluids, including blood, semen, vaginal secretions, breast milk, and pre-seminal fluid
    • CD4 T cells are the target cell for HIV and severe symptoms show when the cell count in less than 200. Normal cell count in 800-1200
    • Wasting syndrome is when the person loses more than 10% of their body weight
    • A person have undetectable viral load does not mean they do not have the infection anymore
    • A person can prevent HIV using PREP
    • Drug Therapy for HIV
      • Truvada, and Trimeq are combination drugs.
      • Most HIV drugs end with vir
      • Se's of these drugs are mostly for liver failure. Others include heart failure
    • Infants born to HIV may show positive result for 18 months
