The 10 Propositions

• Presented to Parliament in June 1641 and it was an Outline of settlement with King
• On the one hand very general but introduced some dramatic restrictions on royal power like Parliamentary control over Privy Council, Queen’s household and education of royal children
• Although accepted by Parliament, it stagnated at committee level and never acquired legal force
