• "Young and old, but they all played." This shows that no matter the person everyone was involved and enjoying themselves.
• "After tea, they had some music" = this shows that they had time to wind down and just enjoy eachothers company. It wasn't serious.
• "For they were a musical family" = shows they were bubbly and happy
