Identifying/Justifying a Stats Test

• When identifying or justifying a stats test, three things must be referenced:

  1. Test of difference or correlation
  2. Experimental design - RM, IGD or MP
  3. Level of measurement - nominal, ordinal, interval
• Use the NORIC table to identify the correct statistical test

  
• If there is an IV and DV, it is a test of difference, if there is a relationship between two co-variables, it is a test of association
• Test of difference:
