Means of relating to, or based on the attitude that heterosexuality is the only normal and natural expression of sexuality.
We assume that everyone is HETEROSEXUAL or STRAIGHT and that is the "standard" for everyone! Anyone who does not adhere to that standard are viewed as lesser

LGBT people are suffering from various forms of socioeconomic and cultural injustice. So, LGBTQ+ community-building leads the way for fighting against their rights. They do many different kind of activities and celebrate their pride
They engage in social activism like rallies, research, pride marches and many more activities to empower LGBTQ community. Example: June- The pride month
CHALLENGING HETERONORMATIVITY THROUGH OUR OWN WAYS
All individuals want and need to be correctly identified. This is an activity where you would identify the individuals or the LGBTQ community in your own ways on his/her gender identity.
Heteronormativity can be undone through activism. Social change may not be something that happens right away, but the LGBT struggle has proven that change can happen.
You do not have to be an LGBT member to fight for equal rights.
