On arrival each child were given mental tests (IQ binet test) by a psychologist to assess their intelligence + also note the emotional attitude of the child
At the same time, a social worker interviewed the child's mother about the child's early psychiatric history
Psychologist + social worker report to psychiatrist (John Bowlby)
Bowlby then interviews child + their mother
After examination - a case conference held where information + impressions were discussed + school/other reports considered + a provisional diagnosis was made
