Using moles to balance equations

Cards (10)

  • Using moles to balance chemical equations
    1. Calculate the number of moles of all chemicals involved
    2. Divide all numbers by the smallest number to get the lowest possible ratio
    3. Put the ratios into the balanced equation
  • Reactions to balance
    • Hydrogen + Chlorine -> Hydrogen Chloride
    • Aluminium + Iron(II) Oxide -> Aluminium Oxide + Iron
    • Barium Chloride + Aluminium Sulfate -> Barium Sulfate + Aluminium Chloride
  • Number of moles
