    • Assertiveness training -> relationship conflict is stressful and triggers relapse, so the client learns to cope with conflict in a controlled way.
    • Anger management -> involves identifying the signs that trigger anger, as well and learning techniques to calm down and deal with the situation in a positive way. The aim is not to prevent anger but to recognise is and manage it.
    • Social skills training (SST) -> Client learns to improve communication skills to cope with anxiety in social situations.
    • Skills training techniques -> group discussion, modelling and role play, homework.
    • Skills training evaluation (positives) -> support for effectiveness, long term effectiveness.
    • Skills training evaluation (negatives) -> role of cognitive factors influence effectiveness.
