  • incarnate - the christian belief that God took human form by becoming jesus. Incarnation means 'to take on flesh'

    • Be killed for the sins of humans.
  • Peter claimed Jesus to be the Messiah 'You are the Messiah, son of the living God'
  • saviour - Jesus is considered to be the Saviour as he came to Earth to save humankind
    from sin and mend their broken relationship with God.
  • saviour - many believe jesus was born for this end result “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give
    him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”
  • Christians believe that through Christ’s death on the cross, Christians are saved
    from eternal damnation and are given the hope of salvation. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
    whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
  • atonement - the relationship between god and humans was destroyed when adam and eve went against God's wishes and ate the apple. This is known as the fall
  • atonement - In the Old Testament, however, there are
    lots of examples of animals, killed or sent
    out into the wilderness to make up for the sins of human beings. Jesus is often
    referred to as the ‘Lamb of God’. a lamb would
    traditionally have been sacrificed, he died to make up for the sins of humanity.

    flesh and dwelt among us.” - emphasises eternal nature of trinity
