• Explain the term entrepreneur.

  A person who takes the initiative, sets up a business, sees a gap in a market and exploits it,

  taking a personal and financial risk in the hope of making a profit.

  e.g., Ed O Donnell is an entrepreneur making crisps in Tipperary.

  2. Creative : She will need to be creative to come up with new ideas/good ideas to make consumers want to visit her hotel.

  • Innovative/creative: the entrepreneur spots a gap in the market/an opportunity for a

  looking for new and better ways of doing things or new ideas for products or services)

  • Hard-working: always put the time and effort to the best of their ability. Willing to put

  in long hours of work- early years when they will be working long hours and doing most of the

  work themselves.
