Human sexuality

• Heterosexual - sexually attracted to members of the opposite sex
• homosexual - a person who is sexually attracted to people of the same sex
• The Buddha did not give teachings related to same-sex relationships. Buddhists only care about if there is consent and respect, regardless of the gender of the people involved
• Human sexuality - how people express themselves as sexual beings
• In Judaism, sex is seen as a wonderful creation of God, not just for having children but also for giving pleasure and expressing love, compassion and intimacy within a marriage
• Christians believe that same-sex marriage is unacceptable. They believe this because they believe that marriage is a union between a man and a woman. However some Christians believe that God loves everyone so it is acceptable for the same gender to date
• Jewish views on homosexuality vary from Orthodox Jews believing that homosexuality is an abomination to Reform Jews accepting gay marriages
• Muslims are taught that homosexual acts are sinful and against Allah's will. Muslims believe that homosexuality is wrong because it goes against the natural order of things (men with women)
• Reform Jews movements accept homosexuals as rabbis and cantors and many conduct same-sex marriages
• In some of St Paul's letters included in the Bible, he condemns men who have sex with men as “unrighteous” and claims that men who practise homosexuality will not "inherit the Kingdom of God,"
• Many Christians see heterosexual relationships as part of God's plan for humans. In Genesis, it says that man and woman should be united together and "increase in number". This is why Christians are opposed to sex outside marriage, and some are strongly against homosexual relationships
